April Meeting Completed

April 30th, 2009 admin No comments

I would like to thank Gary Gambill from BancFirst and Ed from VMware for a great “revival” meeting. It’s been a few years since OKC had a VMUG meeting and I believe this was a great start to get these going again.

It was great seeing such a great turnout for our first meeting, it looked like we had around 20 people or so attend which really speaks volumes about the demand for a local VMUG. Hopefully we can see more attend in the future so we can all learn from others knowledge. We decided for now it was best to have quarterly meetings and Greg said he will try and get other vendors to come in and hopefully not be as pushy with the sales but instead showcase their products and the technologies they offer.

Chad from American Farmers and Ranchers (who hosted the event) was kind enough and gave away a 1.5TB external HD, and Ed from VMware handed out two nice VMware notebooks (the paper kind). Thanks guys!

Hope to see everyone at the next OKC VMUG!

If would like to attend future events and be notified of when they are, go register at VMware’s Website.

Also if you use RSS feeds, we will post event details here also just to help spread the word.
